Happy Birthday Julia!

Today is Julia's 2nd birthday. It is so hard to believe she is already 2 years old. Time really does fly when it comes to kids. We celebrated Julia's birthday last weekend so here are some pictures from the party.

20 Weeks picture

So, I'm now 22 weeks along, but here is my 20 weeks picture. When I look at this picture now, I think I've grown so much since then!

A bit delayed...

So today I'm going to work on updating my blog a little bit. I'm afraid I've gotten a little behind. This weekend I went to the Women's retreat with my church. It was so much fun. We had a wonderful speaker, she really touched so many people's lives this weekend. On Saturday we had about 5 hours of free time. I don't remember the last time I had 5 hours of free time!! It is amazing how nice it is to get a way for a couple of days, and it makes you so excited to get home! Since I got home yesterday Julia has just been giving me hugs. It is so cute and so nice to just have her come up calling "mommy, mommy I luv you."

It's a BOY!

We had our ultrasound today and it seemed to take forever. First they were like 45 minutes late then they had to check the head, then the heart, kidneys and all that good technical stuff. Then the ultrasound tech pointed out her hands and thumb, and her big toe. It was all great but we just wanted to know what we were having!! Finally she asked, "do you want to know the gender?" "YES!" So what seemed like forever, (probably less than 1 minute) we finally found out we are having a boy. We are very excited and are also glad that so far the baby looks quite healthy. Now I get to go shopping!!

20 Weeks!

Well, I can't believe it I'm already 20 weeks along. Sometimes I think...Wow, i'm already half-way done with this pregnancy it has gone by so fast already. Then other times I think...Wow, I have 20 more weeks to go and I'm already this huge, how big can I get in 20 more weeks. I guess it depends if I'm being optimistic, or pessimistic that day. I'm planning on posting some more pictures of my belly this week, so if you don't see them soon then start bugging me. Thursday is the big day that I have pretty much been waiting for, for the last 20 weeks. I have my ultrasound then. I really can't wait I LOVE finding out what we are having!!!

Overall I'm feeling pretty good. I know that I am truly blessed because I don't really get super sick or anything like that. This pregnancy has been a little different though, because with Julia I was exhausted in the 1st trimester and I didn't get that this time...thank goodness because now I am chasing Julia around. But I am finding myself getting pretty tired now in my 2nd trimester. Weird, and I definitely have a sweet tooth this time. Pretty much if there is any candy in our house it's gone by the end of the day. I'm a dental assistant I should totally know better but I just can't help it...I LOVE CANDY. And, i'm eating green olive. Normally ick, but right now...yum! Don't worry I know I'm weird but I don't care cuz i'm happy with my candy and olives.

Well, things with Julia are pretty good right now. After her week without sleeping she started taking naps again, YEAH! But, unfortunately not totally consistently. She isn't sleeping right now, I can hear her in her room, but I still leave her in her room for about 2 hours so she gets her brake time( ok, I get my brake time). I haven't given her bink back and will not, but boy do I miss the consistency that came with it. It's always a new stage isn't it. Some stages are great and some aren't. Thats about it in our house. Crazy week

So this week started on Sunday with Julia not taking a nap. Now this happens once in a blue moon and thats just kind-of the way it goes, but it really isn't the norm at all. I should also explain that I have taken Julia's binks (pacifiers) away, but on Sunday she still had it so I can't blame it on the bink. Monday Julia was super tired and never asked for her bink so I decided to just put her down without it...no problem at all she slept great and again went to bed great that night without it. Now Tuesday on is another story. Tuesday she was really fussy and really wanted the bink so I decided that she must not be ready to give it up yet so I gave it to her for nap time...and she didn't sleep, unstead cried. So I decided to let her play a little longer and hope that would tired her out then put her down. When I went to put her down again she did not want to go, I decided whether she sleeps or not she is going to lay down and not get her bink. Since Tuesday Julia has not had her bink and not taken a nap. That is one nap in 5 days!!! Ahhhh!! There is no way she has grown out of naps, but it sure is a weird thing. Everyday instead she has gotten her 2 hours brake in her crib and I can just listen to her talk...it's actually pretty cute, but still a nap would be nice. So, finally today she took a nap. And still no bink. So, I figure that now it might be because she doesn't have her bink that she hasn't been taking naps, but I have put too many days in to give it back now.

For some reason Julia has been running into walls and chairs lately. Its really doesn't faze her, but she does get some nasty bruises. Here's the latest. That bruise is about the size of a quarter!
