Cole's 2 months stats.

Cole had his 2 month doctors appointment yesterday. We were so excited to find out how much he weighs, because it seems like he has gotten huge this last month. The doctor confirmed it...he's huge!

Weight: 13lbs 11oz (95% percentile)
height: 23 inches (50% percentile)
Head: (50% percentile...sorry Mike his head isn't as big as it used to be!)

It was pretty funny at the docs because we were talking about how much Cole eats, and is he eating too much. Luckily I had kind-of kept track for a day or two out of curiosity. The doctor said its normal to eat 32-36oz a day and I think Cole is around the 35/36 mark. He eats all day though, so it is like every 2 hours! I little hard to get things done when he eats so often, but that means he sleeps through the night or only gets up once....wonderful!!

Zoo

We went to the zoo today. Our first trip since having Cole and it was so much fun. He is pretty much a perfect baby. Never cried once, just spit up on himself a couple times. It is amazing how much Julia loves the zoo. Every time we go is just as exciting as the first time.

Tagged

The Rules:

1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules. (If you don’t have a blog, email me)
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

1. I hate ketchup. I ordered a veggie burger at Burger King the other day (I was trying to be healthy) and could not eat it because they put ketchup on it. I couldn't just wipe if off, the ketchup grossed me out that much.
2. I can't spell. Like, I think I spelled ketchup wrong so I'm hoping spell check will correct it. I am really, really bad. I have to make sure my kid's names are easy to spell because I would totally spell them wrong. ( Brandon just got me the ketchup bottle so I spelled it right)
3. I am scared of slugs. This is a serious fear! If I see a slug I will scream and run. As I am writing this I have to pick my feet up off the ground because I'm freaked out just thinking of slugs.
4. I have always wanted to be a mom. The main reason I didn't finish going to college (2 years only) is because I knew I wanted to be a stay at home mom. I didn't want to finish college and waste the money if I was going to eventually stay at home with my kids. Now, that I have kids I sometimes have the desire to work though.
5. I am addicted to caffeine. Diet soda is my caffeine of choice. If I don't drink it, I will have a headache by noon.
6. I'm really bad at keeping in touch with friends. I haven't kept in touch with a friend from college that was my maid of honor in my wedding. It's a really bad quality and I hate it about myself, but I think it has to do with just being shy and not liking taking the initiative.
7. I was prom queen. I totally forgot that until I read Tonya's blog. I still haven't figured out how that happened, but somehow I was prom queen my senior year in high school. I didn't think enough people knew me to nominate me?!?
8. I am always right. If by chance I don't know the answer to something I will make it up. This could be a disclaimer for the future.

PS: I'm sorry but I will not tag 8 other people. I'm really bad at continuing these things so i'm going to just say sorry i'm not going to do it.

Calmness...for now

Well, I have to say that yesterday and today are giving me hope that I will make it through the 'learning to deal with two kids stage.' Things can still be pretty wild at times, but right now both kids have been sleeping for about an hour and a half. Wow! It is amazing how a really great day can be so uplifting.

We had family visiting last weekend, it was so fun to see everyone...Cole gets spoiled by being held so much. I guess you can never hold an infant too much though. Boy does Julia love all the attention too!!

You gotta love new presents!

Julia's Home!

Boy, have we missed our little girl! Julia went with Grandpa and Grandma Schmidt down to Brookings to visit Brandon's aunt and uncle. She was gone for 5 days, and boy did she have fun! We got some pictures while she was down there and I think that made us miss her more. So, even though we missed her tons it was kind-of nice to have a little break and just have one child for a while. We actually got a few things done! Here are a couple of pictures from Brookings.
