Outside fun

We got a couple of inches of snow at our house and Julia loved playing in it!! She got to play in the snow two days in a row so we was quite happy about the snow. The poor girls arms are stuck like that, she was pretty bundled up!

Inside fun

I'm afraid I have never been the mom to say "stop jumping on that!" Instead I tend to say "hey, lets put some more pillows down to make a bigger pile!" What can I say, jumping gets out tons of energy!!

Brandon has learned how to play the wii and take care of kids at the same time, and when in doubt just teach them how to play! Julia loved bowling on the wii, and she is pretty good!

Two wild kids?

Lately Cole is getting quite busy. He is wiggly, and waves his hands and legs a hundred miles a minute when he gets excited. Our pretty calm boy is growing up and reminding me more and more of his sister at this age. When I took Cole in for his 6 month appointment, he totally ripped the paper on the table to pieces, and then tried to eat it. I'm starting to wonder how much like Julia he is going to be. Because she was always tons of fun, but with him being so big it gets kind-of hard to hold a wiggly heavy kid. As I'm writing this, Cole is in my lap going to town on a plastic cup. He is spinning it, throwing it, and eating it. If he grows up to be as busy as Julia you better watch out when we come in the room!!

Updates about Cole

Today was a big day for Cole. He started making letter sounds today. This was the first time he has really purposely made sounds. He did ba ba really clearly, and of course ma ma. What a mommy's boy! He also learned how to roll over both ways. He has been rolling over from back to belly since he turned 6 months. Well, I guess the first time was at 5 months, but it took a month before he realized he could do it and would do it consistently on purpose. He was a slow learner, but that's ok. Well, today he learned to roll from his belly to back, and is doing it on purpose. On purpose is the key word I guess sense I wrote it like 10 times already. Once Julia did something she never looked back. Cole I have learned will do something new and then forget he did it and we start over the next day or week. It sure is funny how different kids are! Oh, and cross or fingers but Cole slept through the night last night. I think it has been a couple of months since he has done that, so pray that one sticks!! Here's some pictures just for fun.

Who turned on the light?

This morning we were getting ready for Bible study, and I came in the living room to read my email. I noticed that the chair wasn't there. It was over by the light switch and I figured that our babysitter let Julia turn the light on last night and didn't put the chair back. So I want over to do Julia's hair and remembered...I didn't turn the big light on this morning and it was now on. So I asked..."Julia did you move the chair over to turn the light on? Yes mommy. I turned the light on all by myself." Wow, I amazes me when my almost 3 year old daughter can figured out all the steps it take to get a job done and do it all by herself. It also make me quite proud of her.

On another note:
I took Cole in to the Dr. on monday to talk about his spit-up and how he hasn't grown out of any of it and his doctor decided to put him on Prevacid. The same stuff that worked for Julia...well it doesn't really work for Cole. He does eat better (not snacking on 1-2oz all the time, but a full meal of 6-7oz) but he still pukes all day. Bummer! But it is nice to not have a fighting baby while he is eating. We are keeping him on it for about 2 months then I think we will taper him off of it. Some people might say its silly to say he isn't eating good, figuring how huge he is. But now he eats calmly. Now on to how huge he is. They weighed him, and he is now 6 1/2 months he weighs.....24lbs!!!! Ugg, no wonder I sweat every time I have to carry him around. I tried to put him in my sling the other day and he wouldn't fit. I think I need a bigger one! Oh, well he is healthy and that is all that matters.
