So I actually got back last night but was tired and decided not to blog, and I didn't take any pictures so that meant I actually have to write something and not just put pictures on here. The lazy me likes to put pictures on here and call it good!
My mom and I had a blast in San Antonio, but I'm afraid I don't know why anyone would ever want to live in Texas...sorry! The humidity is horrible and it actually wasn't that bad when we were there my brother said. I'm just spoiled living in a non-humid state.
So Mike is great. We had fun just talking and eating, and eating, and again eating! For those of you that don't know, my brother Mike is playing minor league baseball in the Padres organization. He is playing for the San Antonio Missions which is the Padres double A team. There triple A team is the Portland Beavers. He is a pitcher and just got moved from being a starter to a reliever. We were hoping to see him pitch, but he ended up pitching the day we left, but he did great so that's all that mattered. But we did see some eventful games. The first night was thirsty Thursday. That means $1 beer, you can make your own assumptions there. The second night we were surrounded by what looked like secret service guys, like seven of them all in full on suits. We were thinking, 'OK we are in Texas is one of the Bush relatives there?' It turns out there were two girls there that were the daughters of someone really important in Mexico. (presidents daughters, or something like that.) And the last night was the best because the drama actually had to do with the game. The game was tied most of the game then the other team got ahead, then we scored 3 or 4 to come back in the lead and the other coach got ticked to say the least. He didn't like a call and started yelling, got kicked out, and then he really started yelling, and helmet got thrown and we all got an exciting game.
It was a good weekend, but now I'm glad to be back with my kids, and Brandon. He is such a good dad to take care of the kids from Thursday morning to Sunday night. I never doubt that he can do it, but I do feel a little bad having him do everything for so many days, but I am extremely grateful for the little break! Thanks honey!!

Welcome back Heidi. Glad you had a good, humid time. I saw Brandon and the kids at church and asked Brandon how it was going without you and he semmed to be doing really good. We actually worked in the girl's room and Julia did great! I said "is your mommy coming home soon?" and she said "yes, she is in texas seeing uncle mike" it was so cute in her little high pitched voice! Anyway..hope to see you soon
Glad you had fun! I agree, I don't like humidity, I feel so spoiled here in Oregon. Though, I could go for a little more sun than we have right now...see ya next week!
Sounds very fun. Glad you got to take a break from the kids and see your brother! Come on Padres, bring Mike to Portland!!!
