Updates...cont.

Well, we tried for an hour for a nap and that didn't happen so now Julia is watching Nemo. Oh, well!

So last weekend Brandon and I were able to go on our growth group retreat. It was tons of fun but it's amazing how tired you end up being once your home. You always think you come home more relaxed then before you went but maybe being 7 months pregnant changes that. Still, we really enjoyed getting away for the weekend with all adult conversation!!

This week has been a little rougher. Before we left my grandparents had the flu, then my dad and my uncle got it. We thought all was well but Monday night Julia got it. It is so sad when little kids throw up. They just don't get what is going on with their little bodies and you can just see the confusion in their eyes wondering why is my tummy doing this? Luckily it was just Monday night and by Tuesday Julia was jumping off the couch again. So, anyways we thought we were in the clear...nope, my mom got the flu later in the week, and Brandon got it this weekend. I am totally praying all these pregnancy immunities keep the flu away from me!! The house is disinfected and I just keep taking pre-natal pills, they really are amazing!

So Julia is now in a big girl bed, even through the flu she has managed to stay in it...well not totally stay in it, but overall sleep in it. We haven't put her crib back together, but some days, or nights are definitely better then others. This is the first day since the big girl bed that she hasn't taken a nap though. That is pretty much just a bummer for me though because I loose my brake during the day. Oh, well i'm sure I will get it tomorrow because she will be so tired from not taking a nap today! The biggest change from sleeping in a big girl bed is that my wonderful sleeping beauty does not sleep as long...ugg. Julia used to sleep until 8:00 or 8:30 (i know i was spoiled) and now wakes up at like 6:45...bummer. I guess she is preparing my for the new baby.

Speaking of the new baby, right now we have two names we like: Cole and Connor. Last week I liked Connor way better, this week I like Cole better. The mind of this pregnant lady is always changing. What I do know is that this boy is a mover!! He kicks, he turns, he bounces, and gets the hiccups. It's pretty fun, but he is starting to get strong!!

Soon after these pictures were taken of me cuddling with Julia in her bed...I fell out. Ouch! I think we need to put her twin bed up soon, because I so am going to brake her crib at this rate!

This is my 30 week picture, I can't believe I still have 2 months left. I might stop taking pictures soon, it's is kind-of depressing how huge my belly is.

This is how I really feel!

Updates...

It's been a while since I have posted so I thought it was time to write something...Oh, wait nevermind. Julia is now in a big girl bed and for the most part still taking naps...but...I think I hear her now. Gotta go, updates to come later.

Hiccups

So, I think this baby tends to get the hiccups, especially right before bed. It's not too bad, it is pretty rhythmic (is that a word?!?). Yes, definitely the hiccups...and he has them right now.

Slacker...yes thats me.

So during my last post I whined about how bad I have been at posting lately. I'm afraid not much has changed since then. I"ll do my best to update on what's been going on with us lately...don't get too excited though it's really not that much. Hopefully more pictures will come soon.

Today we went and got Julia's 2 year old pictures taken. I was really nervous for them because life has been a little rough around here lately. (Ya, I know we were a little late with the pictures, figuring her birthday was 6 weeks ago but I did it finally!) So, for those of you that don't know Julia started throwing some serious tantrums about 2 weeks before her birthday. We are learning how to handle them, and also learning what the best ways are to discipline her when she doesn't obey (not the most fun job, but an important one we know). Well, she has some great days and some not so great days. The tantrum aren't as long as they used to be (down from 2 hours to 20 minutes) and we can see the progress of Julia just growing up. But then there was last week...thurs and fri were rough! And then we had a great weekend. This is where the dread of getting pictures done came from. I can truly say that Julia was GREAT today!!! She was cute, and funny and wild but in an ok way. She listened to the photographer and I was sooooo proud of her. I love days like this. It makes all those struggling with disciplining days worth it. It shows me that Julia is going to turn into a wonderful little girl it just takes lots of time, patience, and consistency of course.

Things seem to be going good with my pregnancy. I have another doctors appointment next week, and I will be 28 weeks then. This pregnancy is really flying by. I feel like i'm getting pretty big though and in reality I have like 3 months left...ick. I did find a heating pad which I sit in front of whenever I have a chance( oh, i stole it from my mom's house!). Heating pads are miracle workers for my back they truly have saved my life with Julia and now this baby. We have been working on the babies room. I got bedding a little while ago, and last weekend we painted. Well, we started painting. We got the base coat done, but we are going to paint a couple of stripes around the room. I thought we would never do that again because it was such a huge job when we painted stripes in Julia's room, but we are doing it again! I'll show pictures once we are further along.

We are working on coming up with names for the baby but are kind-of at a stale-mate (i don't know if thats the right word but hopefully you get my point). If anyone has suggestions for names send them our way. We do have a middle name though. It will be Robert so it has to sound good with that. I think that's it for now, I'll post new pictures of Julia soon.

25 weeks pregnant

I'm afraid my belly has grown quite a lot in the last month. It's starting to bug my back already which is not good. I think I need to find my heating pad then I'll be much happier! (I'm in a tank top and capris because we were in Phoenix, AZ and it was extremely hot. This outfit would not work in Oregon right now!)

It's been a while...

So I joined this new Bible study that works on achieving new goals. We have goals to do things better, or sometimes get just the basics done. Whatever you need at the time. Well, one of my new goals was to work on posting new things on my blog. My goal was to post two things a week. Opps!! Maybe I was intimidated by that goal or something because I think its been like 3 weeks!! Sorry about my laziness, I'm going to work on being better, at least once a week better!

Here's some fun pictures of the last couple of weeks to let you know what we have been up to. Julia has been not wanting to eat in her highchair lately so getting her to eat has been interesting. Here she is eating just like mommy and daddy. Because, come on who wants to eat their pizza when it's cut up, that isn't nearly as fun as this!

We (Brandon) planted a great big tree. Sometimes on the farm a random tree will just get placed somewhere because they weren't able to sell it, or maybe it has a scar or something and it will just grow and grow. This is one of those trees, it's been sitting there on one of the farms for the last 7 years and Brandon decided to dig it up (well, he didnt' do the technical digging but he did carry it to the house with a tractor).

Julia got to hang out with her cousins after church the other day. How cute are they all dressed up.
